Having accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at the tender age of 12, Bishop Willie Q. Courtney, Sr., two years later entered into the realm of ministry at the tender age of 14, with his first sermon, being entitled, “Action Faith”. This message would give birth to a strong faith- based & faith-driven ministry in years to come.
In 1989, God elevated him to the office of Pastor and later to the office of Bishop. He is the founder and senior pastor of Higher Anointing World Ministries Inc., with campuses located in Archer, FL and Putnam Hall, FL.
God blessed Bishop Courtney to build a debt-free sanctuary through the principles of faith, after spending 9 years in a tent and facing many obstacles and challenges. However, through it all, he kept his faith in the Word of God. Bishop, has a great testimony of faith, where God delivered him from sickness and disease. It was through these 6 ½ year battles with cancer and kidney failure that God birthed the phrase, “Healed & Blessed”, which is now known all over the world.
He is educated with degrees from St. Johns State College (Palatka, FL) and University of Florida (Gainesville, FL). He is a Holy-Ghost filled, anointed Gospel preaching machine, whom God has appointed for such a time as this, to bring hope and deliverance to a lost & dying world through Jesus Christ. He is most known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which allows for a greater understanding of the teachings of the Word of God.
He and his wife, Brenda Courtney, co-pastor & co-founder, have been married for 42 years. They are the proud parents of 4 beautiful children & hundreds of spiritual children whom God has entrusted into their hands.
Bishop Courtney is a man after the heart of God. He is a humble servant in whom God has placed his trust.
